Discover the aesthetic solution with medical tattooing for a natural appearance
Burns and cleft lips always leave a mark, both physically and psychologically. Depending on the severity of the burn, (part of) the burn can be tattooed using medical tattooing. The burn is camouflaged as effectively as possible. For example, I redraw eyebrows and fully color in a mouth.
In the case of a third-degree burn, all layers of the skin are charred. The skin looks like cardboard and is white or dark in color. Because the nerves running through the skin are also burned, the victim often feels no pain at all. A third-degree burn does not heal on its own. A skin graft is necessary, also to prevent severe scarring and deformities. A second-degree burn affects not only the epidermis but also the upper layer of the skin itself. Blisters form on the burned area, the skin is red-white spotted, and it is painful. Healing takes several weeks, and often a scar remains visible afterward. Depending on the extent, a second-degree burn can be considered moderately severe or severe.
The appearance of a cleft lip can be improved with medical tattooing
Camouflaging certain injuries and conditions such as a cleft lip (commonly known as a harelip) can be achieved with cosmetic/medical tattooing, also known as micropigmentation or dermography. Here, I redraw the mouth. The injury, the scars, are camouflaged as best as possible. A newly redrawn mouth. The mouth is fully colored with pigment. The mouth regains harmony in shape and color.
How do I proceed?
As with every client, I take the time to listen to you during the consultation. You tell your story, you ask questions. I give you professional advice and go over the contraindications. For the treatment, I redraw your mouth. I take into account the existing scars, the sensitivity of your skin, and your preferences. This precise drawing work is of great importance and therefore time-consuming. After all, I want you to leave with a beautifully drawn mouth. We determine the color of the lips together. I give you my advice, but of course, the color must please you.
I use an effective, legal anesthetic. The duration of the tattooing mainly depends on the structure of the skin around the mouth, mouth tissue, scar tissue, and pigment absorption. You will be in treatment for about 2-3 hours. I provide aftercare and explain the instructions you receive. The color is initially intense. This color is not the result. This intense color remains for a few days, regardless of the pigment color. So rest assured!
You can always contact me during the healing process. I will see you again after 4 weeks for the follow-up, included in the price.
A consultation is always recommended and, moreover, legally required.
